MONTERREY, Mexico--Started in 1976, Vortens®, the manufacturer of premier sanitary ware products, celebrates its 40th anniversary this year of providing top-quality toilets, urinals and sinks to the United States and Canada.
"This year marks four decades of uninterrupted support of wholesale distributors, contractors and plumbers throughout North America by Vortens," says Ed Trevino, vice president of sales for Vortens. "We greatly appreciate the support of all our customers in the distribution network who have helped our company thrive during the past 40 years.
"Since Vortens started we have established a complete line of residential plumbing fixtures and light commercial products. We're especially proud that, throughout the years Vortens products have met all the changing needs in the marketplace, making them a stable, reliable product for our valued customers."
People throughout the U.S. and Canada have long depended on the quality of Vortens sanitary ware products, which are IAPMO/UPC and CSA approved. The company's toilets and urinals meet or exceed all applicable ANSI and ASME specifications while providing stylish, water-efficient options with high performance levels.
During the past 40 years, Vortens products have become known for their power and performance. Superior engineering has resulted in many products that have attained UPC and cUPC certification, WaterSense® high efficiency certification and outstanding MaP testing results.
In 2001 Vortens was awarded the certification to participate in the retrofit program in the city of Toronto, Canada, which sought to improve water savings in the region. In 2002 the company built a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that continues to serve as the company's base of innovative product development. In 2003 Vortens launched the first generation of Dual-Flush toilets in the North American market; later in 2004 the company became one of the main suppliers of products for water conservation programs in California, helping to fight the droughts that affected the state. And finally, in 2014 Vortens joined with Fluidmaster®, Inc., a global leader of toilet trim products, to celebrate World Toilet Day with product donations to a California charity.
"While our manufacturing operations are based in Mexico, it's been a privilege to work so closely with our North American customers for the past 40 years," says Trevino. "Our dedicated employees plan to continue designing, manufacturing and shipping innovative, high-performing toilets, lavatories and urinals to our North American customers for many more years."
