BLOOMINGDALE, Ill.--PCTEL, Inc. (NASDAQ:PCTI), a leader in Performance Critical Telecom solutions, announced that it is expanding its network engineering services offerings to serve the needs of private wireless networks, including the IoT (Internet of Things). The company has established a leadership position in engineering services for public wireless networks in venues such as stadiums, college campuses, and airports. It also designs and manufactures antennas and site solutions for a wide variety of private wireless networks. The company will build on that combined expertise to provide solutions for private wireless networks such as rail, smart grid, and industrial IoT.
To support these initiatives, the company announced a new leadership team for its Engineering Services group. The group will report into Jeff Miller, the Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Services for RF Solutions. Javier Herrero and Jay Maciejewski will report into Jeff as the Vice President, Network Engineering Operations and Vice President, Global Services Business Development, respectively. Jay will manage the sales and business development for both the Subject Matter Expert (SME) staffing business and the private and public engineering services operation.

Maciejewski has played a key role in growing PCTEL’s engineering services business since joining the company in 2012. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Business Development for Engineering Services. Prior to joining PCTEL in 2012, Maciejewski served in engineering director or management roles for several major wireless carriers, neutral host firms, and consulting organizations.
Herrero has managed key parts of PCTEL’s network engineering services operations since joining the company in 2013. Herrero has more than 15 years of experience in the wireless industry, including key project management and engineering roles at major cellular carriers.
