Miamisburg, OH ---- State, county and local officials joined Mound Development Corp. (MDC) board members in cutting the ribbon on Vanguard Boulevard, the main road through the campus of the Mound Advanced Technology Center. The 1.3-mile roadway, which connects the technology parks north entrance from Mound Road to the south entrance from Dayton-Cincinnati Pike, was recently completed. Officials believe the opening of the road will boost MDCs economic development efforts by providing improved access for tenants and their customers.
Vanguard Boulevard sends the message that were serious about investments that help to attract new businesses to locate at the Mound site, said MDC president Eric Cluxton. Easy access is one more benefit we can offer our tenants.
Funded by the state of Ohios Jobs Ready Sites Program and MDC, the $4.7 million roadway construction project included water lines, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, curbs, gutters, street lights, sidewalks and landscaping.
Cluxton also announced that Vanguard Boulevard will serve as the start and finish line for Miamisburgs traditional 5-mile Turkey Trot, a race held on Thanksgiving morning.
