AMSTERDAM--To underscore C.H. Robinson’s commitment to Global Forwarding, particularly in Europe, the company recently named Ivo Aris the Vice President of Europe Global Forwarding division. Aris has served as a Director of Europe Global Forwarding since joining the company in 2013.
“In his new role, Ivo will bring strong leadership to the Global Forwarding division and focus on growing and advancing our business in Europe,” said Mike Short, president of Global Forwarding at C.H. Robinson. “He will continue to ensure that our team in Europe is working in alignment with our global network to support our customers.”
Aris’ promotion strengthens C.H. Robinson’s commitment to the European market, which can be fragmented and diverse. The company brings the ability to serve customers of all size and a global network to meet customers’ needs.
“While C.H. Robinson is relatively modest in size (in Europe), we are able to leverage our powerful market presence in the U.S. and on Trans-Pacific trade lanes when discussing rate levels with carriers,” Aris said. “Also, our very efficient gateways enable us to offer highly-competitive buying rates. We are excited about growth opportunities in this region, both with our customer base and with potential new customers.”
Over the past three years, C.H. Robinson has been recognised as one of the Top 20 freight forwarders in Europe, in part, due to its 2012 acquisition of Phoenix International, Inc., a freight forwarder with strength in the Trans-Pacific trade lanes.
