CHICAGO--BDO USA, LLP is proud to announce that Rick Schreiber, partner and national leader of the firm’s Manufacturing and Distribution practice, has been named to the National Association of Manufacturers’ (NAM) Board of Directors. The appointment is effective March 1, 2016.
Rick joins more than 200 distinguished manufacturing leaders on the Board, representing large and small companies across all industrial sectors. Board members provide national and global perspectives on the impact of federal government action on manufacturers’ ability to grow and prosper. In addition, board members contribute their leadership and expertise to the NAM’s policy-development process.
“Rick’s appointment to the NAM board is testament to his years of exceptional service to the manufacturing industry and his knowledge of the key business and economic issues manufacturers face,” said Wayne Berson, CEO of BDO USA, LLP. “BDO has long been committed to serving the manufacturing industry, and we’re proud that Rick’s voice and leadership will help shape opportunities for manufacturers in the years ahead.”
“Rick will be a valuable addition to the NAM Board of Directors and will continue to act as a champion for manufacturing,” said NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons. “As a leader in business and his community, Rick has proven time and again that he knows how to effect positive change that is critical to the new era in manufacturing, setting the manufacturing agenda and driving pro-growth policies.”
As leader of BDO’s Manufacturing & Distribution practice, Rick helps manufacturers – from entrepreneurial businesses, to large, multinational organizations – navigate financial and accounting issues and prepare for the next era of manufacturing. He has worked in public accounting for nearly 25 years and has extensive experience with mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, secondary debt offerings, financial statement and internal control audits, business process optimization and enterprise risk management.
Rick also serves as the Assurance & Advisory Managing Partner for BDO’s Memphis Office, where he is an active member of the local business and manufacturing communities. In addition to his new role with the NAM, Rick also serves as a Board Member for the Tennessee Manufacturers Association and Tennessee Chamber of Commerce, as well as an Executive Task Force Member for Tennessee Dream It Do It.
“I am truly honored to be selected as a Board of Director for the NAM,” said Rick Schreiber, partner national leader of BDO’s Manufacturing & Distribution practice. “I look forward to working with my fellow board members and bringing BDO’s industry and financial knowledge to the critical conversations about the future of the manufacturing industry.”
