LAPORTE, Ind. -- Extrusion manufacturer, Unitek Sealing Solutions Corporation announces the formation of Jaeger-Unitek Sealing Solutions, the result of the company's recent purchase by The Jaeger Group of Hannover, Germany. The new corporation plans to double its employment, adding 39 new jobs over the next three years.Founded in 2006, LaPorte-based Unitek specializes in rubber extrusion components used in window, door and sunroof assemblies for the automotive industry. The new company plans to invest more than $3 million to add rubber and thermoplastic injection molding, cryogenic deflashing and robotic inspection to its 150,000 square-foot LaPorte operations.
The acquisition of Unitek marks the first Indiana presence for The Jaeger Group, a $150 million global company. The new entity plans to begin hiring production associates immediately as new machinery and equipment are phased in at the facility.

"Jaeger-Unitek Sealing Solutions, Inc. is very excited about this acquisition and we have very aggressive growth plans for the LaPorte operation," said Mark Dilley, Jaeger-Unitek Sealing Solutions president. "We have an outstanding workforce that will serve as the nucleus for this expansion effort."
Unitek's current customers include Aisin, Nascote, Fuji, Johnan, North American Lighting and Delphi, among others, and the company plans to bring on additional European and American customers as a result of the formation of Jaeger-Unitek Sealing Solutions.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Jaeger-Unitek Sealing Solutions, Inc. up to $250,000 in performance-based tax credits and $20,000 in training grants based on the company's job creation plans. The company will participate in the city of LaPorte's urban enterprise zone association investment deduction program with the support of the Greater LaPorte Economic Development Corporation.
Formed through The Jaeger Group's acquisition of Unitek Sealing Solutions in 2010, Jaeger-Unitek Sealing Solutions, Inc. specializes in the production of high quality thermoplastic and rubber extrusions.
