“'ERP in Manufacturing 2012: The Evolving ERP Strategy'”Castellina says of SYSPRO's introduction of a Point of Sale solution, “As more manufacturers are opening outlets to deliver their products, there is a strong need for this technology. “'ERP in Manufacturing 2012: The Evolving ERP Strategy'” found that while only 15% of organizations currently have the ability for ERP users to access or purchase applications that enhance decision-making from an app store, they are actually over twice as likely as All Others to have this capability. As proof of the benefits of these types of solutions, organizations that can purchase apps in this manner have seen a 41% decrease in time to decision over the past year, compared to a 15% decrease for those that cannot purchase apps in this manner. Offering these apps at a lower price point makes it more likely that organizations will be willing to take a bite.
