Task Order Has Maximum Value of $129 Million to URS
SAN FRANCISCO--()--URS Corporation (NYSE:URS) today announced that it has been awarded a task order from the U.S. Navy to provide construction services for the land-based Aegis Ashore missile defense program at the Pacific Missile Range Facility, Barking Sands, in Kauai, Hawaii. The 15-month task order also includes the provision of construction services in Moorestown, New Jersey. It has a maximum value of $129 million to URS. The work will be performed under the Navy's Global Multiple Award Construction (GMAC) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract, which was won by URS in July 2009.
Under the task order, URS will install a radar deckhouse, support building, launch pad, electrical power and potable water systems, a sewer connection, and synthetic natural gas and communications systems, and perform related work to test a government-furnished, government-installed weapons system at the Pacific Missile Range Facility. URS also will fabricate and erect a radar deckhouse, support building, and perform related work to test a government-furnished, government-installed weapons system at Moorestown.
