CHEP Brings 46 New Jobs to South Central Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Kentucky -- A new business will soon be occupying an existing building at the South Central Kentucky Industrial Park, bringing with it 46 new jobs to the region, says the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce.

"We're pleased to announce that CHEP has made a multi-million dollar investment in locating its new operations in the former PFI building," said Todd Davis, 2009 Chamber chairman. "With its third-party provider, CLM Pallet Recycling, having already completed its hiring process, we're excited to watch this business grow and flourish in Bowling Green."

CHEP is a leader in pallet and container pooling services and serves many of the world's largest companies. The company issues, collects, conditions and reissues more than 300 million pallets and containers from a global network of service centers, handling pallet and container supply chain logistics for customers in the consumer goods, produce, meat, home improvement, beverage, raw materials, petro-chemical and automotive industries.

CHEP provides its services to over 300,000 customers around the world: durable and innovative pallets and containers that enable a reduction in product damage, allow customers to engage in an environmentally sustainable business practice, save the customers time, money, and hassle with superior technology. At CHEP, an efficient supply chain is a competitive advantage.

CLM Pallet Recycling, which will operate CHEP's Bowling Green location, is a full-service pallet recycling company with corporate offices located in Indianapolis, Ind. The company currently operates eight plants throughout the Midwestern United States.
