PITTSBURGH--SmartOps Corporation, the provider of enterprise-class supply chain optimization solutions, announced today that NTN Bearing Corporation of America has licensed Production Planning with Pattern Optimization (PPPO) software.
PPPO easily runs “what if” analyses and graphically represents the production plans, production wheels, production frequency, and production sequences by manufacturing lines. The software minimizes the total cost of production by improving resource utilization, increasing throughput, lowering setup and changeover costs, and right sizing manufacturing batch sizes, cycle stock and inventory. According to John W. Husemann, Manager, Supply Chain and Inventory at NTN Bearing Corporation of America, “NTN chose SmartOps to optimize production plans that consider time-varying demand and limited manufacturing resources.”
“We are excited to add NTN to our growing list of customers that have chosen SmartOps to improve margins through efficient production capacity utilization,” said Martin Barkman, SmartOps President and CEO.
