Manufacturers Congratulate Ex-Im Bank Small Business Exporter of the Year

The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) congratulates Ceilings Plus on receiving the Small Business Exporter of the Year award from the Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank). Ceilings Plus is a manufacturer and installer of high-quality aluminum and wood ceilings and wall panels. The award was presented today at the Ex-Im Bank's annual conference.

“The success of Ceilings Plus, and the thousands of small companies that use the Ex-Im Bank, shows the essential role of the Bank in supporting jobs and increasing exports,” said NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons. “Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy, and it is vital for Washington to provide them with the tools needed to compete globally. It's time that Congress act to reauthorize the Ex-Im Bank so small businesses like Ceilings Plus can continue to create jobs.”

“The Ex-Im Bank has been invaluable in our growth to new international markets,” said Ceilings Plus President Nancy Mercolino. “Over the past four years, we have been able to more than double our sales and number of jobs thanks to the support of the Ex-Im Bank.”

The trade data released today for February show us just how important exports are to growing manufacturing jobs, as 95 percent of the world's consumers live outside the United States. The Ex-Im Bank's transactions support nearly 290,000 jobs and an estimated $41 billion in U.S. exports. The Ex-Im Bank is all about jobs!
