PHP of Valparaiso, Indiana Acquires the Indoor/Outdoor Heating Parts Division of DESA Heating, LLC of Bowling Green, Kentucky

DESA, nationally known for its legacy of Master brand heaters, filed for bankruptcy in December, 2008. Shortly after, PHP of Valparaiso, Indiana, a 25-year leader in the portable heat industry, pursued and successfully purchased DESA's Indoor/Outdoor Heating Parts Division. PHP will continue to support the need for kerosene, propane and natural gas forced-air heaters, as well as the need for certain lines of indoor vent-free heaters.

The company currently employs approximately 25 at the Valparaiso location. John S. Walsh is the company's President and John G. Leurck is Vice President. PHP's customers include national and international companies. Individual and distribution/sales occur via catalog, internet and direct sales. Corporate clients include United Rentals, Hertz Rentals, RSC, SunBelt Rentals, TSC, Ace Hardware, Reddyparts.com, Evan's Equipment, Vandalia Rental, Star Rentals and many others.

The loss of DESA opened the door to PHP to continue to develop other, fulfilling partnerships within the temporary heating industry. As a result, in an effort to continue providing temporary heating products, PHP has aligned itself with Enerco Group, Inc. (Cleveland, OH) and its industry-leading line of HeatStar heaters, complete with forced-air propane, forced-air kerosene and convection heaters. PHP will offer a full range of portable rental/construction HeatStar heaters and parts for the upcoming 2010 winter season. In addition, PHP will expand its line of quality portable construction heaters by LB White offering both Tradesman kerosene and propane forced air heaters from 75k BTU to 400k BTU, as well as supporting parts and accessories.

PHP will continue to carry other brand names such as Heat Wagon, Sureflame and Space Ray. Heat Wagon is introducing 400k BTU and 600k BTU high pressure, oil fired forced air heaters to replace the Master B350 and B600.

Through the company's new web site, PHP is offering a wide variety of construction and rental equipment and supplies, including portable heater products, parts and accessories and a full line of party and event supplies enabling users to: order online via purchase order or credit card; view past orders and invoices; check inventory and shipping status of PHP's entire online catalog; view parts breakdowns and diagrams; and receive email updates regarding sale, clearance and new products.

"We are aware of the need to translate our brand identity to the web," said John Walsh, President of PHP. "The new site will serve as a foundation upon which we are able to build and expand our web presence for the future. It's easy to use, full of useful product and parts information and everything is right at your fingertips."

PHP, a Valparaiso, Indiana-based wholesale distribution company of construction and rental equipment, supply and parts, maintains and distributes a broad array of parts and products for more than 25 years. PHP's customers comprise national and international companies and individuals and its distribution/sales efforts are achieved via catalog, internet and direct sales.
