Digicom Electronics' Diamond Track Process Enhances Product and Process Control, Productivity, and Quality

Digicom Electronics, Inc., a technology and quality driven electronic manufacturing services company, introduces its new Diamond Track Process, a multifaceted approach to quality and productivity, at IPC APEX 2012, Booth 3717. Diamond Track processes include design services, advanced cleaning, selective soldering, process control, inspection and testing, and certification and process validation. Diamond Track activities enhance productivity, product control, quality, and integrity of the product that's built.

“After much research we developed a process that not only uses the latest equipment, but that incorporates our scientifically focused method and testing to ensure the cleanest possible boards.”

“There is a gap in the market caused by new technologies that make it more difficult to ensure circuit board integrity,” explained Mo Ohady, general manager Digicom Electronics. “With our Diamond Track Process we approach design, cleaning, manufacturing, quality, and reliability in a comprehensive new way and are closing the technology gap to deliver excellence.”

Diamond Track Design Services include an early stage customer design review with an emphasis on mitigating factors in the design that might cause manufacturing and quality issues. It's a beginning-to-end analysis that includes such things as component spacing and interface of the design and preparation for prototyping and volume manufacturing.

Digicom's Diamond Track Advanced Cleaning reinvents the "art" of cleaning. It is especially effective for cleaning the most severe conditions and is a major approach to handle the short and long term challenges of harsh environments. The cleaning process results in long-term durability and reliability. The most advanced equipment is combined with a scientific approach to washing and cleaning boards.

“Today's new chemistries in fluxes and solder, plus the closeness of components, make cleaning more difficult,” said Ohady. “After much research we developed a process that not only uses the latest equipment, but that incorporates our scientifically focused method and testing to ensure the cleanest possible boards."

Diamond Track Selective Soldering automates soldering for lead and lead-free processes across all through-hole areas under nitrogen conditions, whether inert, green, or no dross. It increases both productivity and process control. Diamond Track Process Control demands consistency and reliability and accelerates productivity, increases throughput, is environmentally friendly, and reduces waste.

Diamond Track Programs in inspection and testing and certification and process validation ensure that products designed and manufactured at Digicom Electronics are of the highest quality and are built to last. Digicom has ISO 9001:2008, ISO 13485 medical device quality, and quality system regulation 21 CFR 820. Digicom's certifications make it easier for our customers to get certification. Complete process validation services are offered.

Digicom Electronics will provide consultations at booth #3717 at IPC APEX from February 28-March 1, 2012 at the San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, CA, on ways its contract manufacturing services can improve your product and productivity.
