Indiana's Oak View Tool Now Part Of Global Leader SGS Tool Company of Ohio

The Company is Now Part of Ohio-Based SGS Tool Company

"Oak View Tool will now be a sister company to SGS Tool, a global producer of carbide cutting tools," said Oak View Tool President Matt Dahms, "This relationship will provide Oak View Tool with a global reach and SGS Tool with a local gateway to the orthopedics industry."

Oak View Tool Company LLC, formerly known as Oak View Tooling Inc, was founded by Matt Dahms in 1996. The company has seen impressive growth during its thirteen year history: relocating to its current facility at 724 E Swihart Street in Columbia City, completing a building addition there in 2006 that tripled its floor space, and growing to twenty employees.

SGS Tool Company was founded in 1951 by three partners in a small Akron garage. The company has grown to become one of the largest producers of solid carbide endmills and burs in the world with additional production facilities in England and Ireland. SGS Tool now has sales offices in eight foreign countries and sells to customers in over sixty countries through a network of industrial distributors.

The primary markets serviced by SGS include automotive, aerospace, medical and power generation. The new affiliation with Oak View Tool will further entrench SGS in the medical market with a focus on orthopedics.

Oak View Tool specializes in state-of-the-art, quality cutting tools and surgical cutting instruments for the orthopedic industry. Since the company's start thirteen years ago at a rural Whitley County location, Oak View Tool has grown to become a leader in supplying medical device customers with concept, design, prototyping, and production services.

The SGS Tool Company is headquartered in Munroe Falls, just outside of Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to end mill and drill manufacturing plants, SGS operates a dedicated, cutting-edge R&D facility, quality control lab, coatings facility and an automated, climate-controlled bur manufacturing plant. Through its distributor network, SGS Tool serves customers in over sixty countries. For more information about SGS Tool Company, please visit: www.sgstool.com
