NAZARETH, Pa.--CoBank, Farm Credit East, authorized the liquidation of a 28,175 sq. ft. former Nazareth industrial plant Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011 at 10 a.m. via lender-owned auction. Maas Companies Inc, a Rochester, Minn.-based company specializing in selling and managing plants, equipment, real estate and special assets, will conduct the sale.

The 50,000 ton-per-year wood pellet plant and equipment located on 12.75 will sell in separate tracts on-site at 731 Engler Road, Nazareth, Penn. Equipment highlights include a grinding system, drying system, pellet mill system, motor control system and supplemental construction and warehouse equipment lots. Most equipment was purchased new in 2009.

Nazareth is in the Lehigh Valley, near Allentown, Easton, and Bethlehem; an area strategically located 50 miles north of Philadelphia and 70 miles west of New York City. The Lehigh Valley is home to the largest concentration of warehouses and distribution centers on the east coast with a comprehensive transportation network.

The manner of sale will first offer the real estate followed by the equipment in piecemeal. The equipment can be bid on-site or via the internet.

Potential buyers are encouraged to attend the open houses:

Monday, Sept. 26, noon to 5 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 27, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Other times by appointment.
